Hello Vision Parents and Students!
Summer is coming and sometimes it can be a challenge to find quality things for kids to do. I'm a parent of a Vision student and would love to meet more Vision parents, and make friends and have an opportunity for my son to make some friends with other Vision students. That's why I started this blog. If anyone is interested in sharing ideas, activities, outings that we might be able to get our kids together in, or just great thoughts or ideas, for fun or even educational opportunities, please feel free to join this blog. I am hoping to perhaps even get some feedback on some of the educational options available to our Vision students. What are some of the better experiences you've had with classes and educators? Who or what do you recommend? Are there any classes, or teachers that your kids have loved and learned a lot from? Do you know any great websites for kids, that are safe, fun and educational? I hope there might be some other parents out there that might be willing to share from their home schooling experiences. I look forward to hearing from everyone! My hope is this can be a pleasant place for parents to give their input and share their ideas, successes and struggles. I hope you'll join me.

A blog is cool but how about a forum so we can discuss issues not on the blog?
ReplyDeleteBarbara, that's a good idea, do you know how to do that? I'm open to ideas, and would like that as well. Sorry I haven't responded sooner, no one had responded in a while so I thought there might not be any interest. A forum would be great as well. I'm searching for ways to communicate with other parents about many different topics, including the different class offerings and educators, etc. We really need some parents input to help us decide for next year. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJeff, that's what I'm hoping for, that we can have a place for parents to chat and discuss ideas and share input regarding outside classes we're required to fulfill each semester. I really hope people will take advantage of this. Thanks for encourageing it!
ReplyDeleteI am looking for a vision student that might know about building web sites. My daughter has been learning on a software program Site Spinner. She does not want to take a "class" and refuses to read the Tutorial. Surprise Surprise. Yes she is a teenager. 15 actually. We can start a forum if there is any interest, I'm not clear on the difference between a blog and a forum. I think a forum is more for questions and a blog is more for posting comments. What is it your looking for most? A place to post questions for people to reply to with possible answers? That would be very helpful and I'm sure we could do it.
